When spell checking (F7) came to the following text fragment:

Rooted vs unrooted trees

“vs” was highlighted in red as wrong, I decided to change this to “vs.” and
then clicked “ignore” to continue spell checking. When “unrooted” then was
highlighted in red, the first letter was not coloured, only “nrooted”. I guess
this was caused by me adding a character to the text being spell checked.
