Problem description: 

When typing new text after removing highlighted text, the new text is
highlighted with the color of the previously removed text (e.g. yellow)
although the icon shows 'no fill'

Steps to reproduce:
1. highlight some text in aparagraph
2. ensure that the Highlighting icon is 'no fill'
3. remove the highlighted text (leave the paragraph)
4. Go away from the location, return to the location
5. Type new text

Current behavior:
The new text is highlighted

Expected behavior:
The new textis not highlighted
