3) What is expected to happen in LibreOffice Writer via the Terminal:

cd ~/Desktop && wget
&& lowriter -nologo example.odt

when one uses the mouse and selects the blue text → clicks Format Paintbrush →
selects “jumps over” in the green text, only those two words have their format

4) What happens instead is “jumps over” changed to the desired formatting but
the font, font color, and size of the words to the left and right, as well as
the paragraph justification changed to Default Formatting.

WORKAROUND: Use the mouse and select the blue text → click Format Paintbrush →
press and hold the Ctrl key -> select “jumps over” in the green text then let
