             Bug #: 48675
Summary: Inserted "Date" Field not auto-updating when file is
                    opened
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: LibO 3.5 Daily
          Platform: x86 (IA32)
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
        AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: drcaldwell at wbcable.net

Write document, content = irrellavent, it's the footer's date of concern.

I use a std. footer layout ( left border = filename.ext; center = "Page # of
pages"; right border = Date.

Some of my files auto-update the footer's date field, whereas other files do
not. I don't know if this is dependent upon what version of Writer was used to
create the document, or not. On those that do not auto-update, & that I'm
changing the file's contents, I manually have to delete the date field &
re-insert the date field. Getting to be a drag as I've got lots of documents
that get updated almost every day.

Thank you for whatever can be done to rectify this situation.
