Update - as of 3.5 version, all fonts appear in LibreOffice in all segments.
Have not had problem with updates to 3.5.2.

So, either you guys zeroed in on the issue (thank you muchly in that case!) or
a combination of your work and Apple updates to OS did the trick.

As to objects, this also seems OK now.

Whatever the reason, I'm holding onto this version of both OS and LibreOffice
for as long as do-able!
