Bug #: 54190
Summary: EDITING: Image captions: not WYSIWYG, not editable, no
footnote/style support
Classification: Unclassified
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 3.6.0.4 release
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Status Whiteboard: BSA
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: fenglich at fastmail.fm
Problem description:
I see problems related to image captions:
* You cannot edit them WYSIWYG, which means one cannot apply formatting, such
as styling a link.
* How do you edit an image caption after you've pressed ok? Using "Caption..."
in the context menu brings up an empty dialog.
* As a consequence, foot notes cannot be used in an image caption. That could
be considered poor editing style, but I don't think the software should
constrain that.
Platform (if different from the browser):
Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_8_1) AppleWebKit/537.1
(KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/21.0.1180.82 Safari/537.1
