NOT reproducible with "LibreOffice  3.5.5.3.  German UI/Locale [Build-ID:
7122e39-92ed229-498d286-15e43b4-d70da21] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit).
If in meneu 'Tools -> Options -> LibO -> View - UI - Scaling' is maximim (130%)
Texts  is truncated.

I wonder how button width is defined, I see (always "Tango" theme), symbol size
"large", use system font,  order in list is order of test

I am pretty sure that we already had a rework with an older bug report for this
problem, but I can't find the Bug.

This issue might be related to font selected in menu ''Tools -> Options -> LibO
-> View - UI - Use system Font' 

Strange: When increasing scale from 80% to 130% Text size will be increased
immediately, Start center buttons after close / reopen

What is your UI language?
Because of continuous rework it would be useful if you could test 3.6.0
