I have just tried it with the following Java:
1. jre1.6.0_29
2. 1.6.0_24 from openjdk
3. jre1.6.0_22

Behaviour is all the same. Create Database, open Report-Creating, close
(nothing to save), close LO, try to open the created database again - wouldn't
work.

LO 3.3.4 presents the "filter-selection" window, when I try to open the file,
also LO 3.6, when I don't try to open it from the "Recent Documents".
