             Bug #: 49661
Summary: Document Fails to Open Properly
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: LibO 3.4.0 release
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
        AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: wpe5sas at hotmail.com

Occasionally when opening a writer document, it fails to open properly.

ASCII Filter Options window appears
The font changes from Comic Sans MS or Tahoma or Verdana to the standard
default Times New Roman.
Language changes from English to Portuguese or something different.
Character Set changes to something different each time.

I have had the same problem when using Open office.

Problem appears on both
Fujitsu N3010 Pentium IV with Windows XP Home
and Fujitsu N6010 Pentium IV with Windows XP Professional

Has happened several different times.

Each time the document is finally opened the different letters and numbers have
been changed to squares, or to #.

Lost documents each time.
