--- Comment #44 from Andy <silvandy at katamail.com> ---
Hello, I am assessing the problem further:
- on windows 7, lenovo thinkpad 540, I upgraded video drivers today. Display
problems with 5.3.2.2 remain unchanged, UI is rendered very ugly, text is
Writer is markedly worse than in 5.3.1, full screen odp is totally unusable.
openGl settings changes nothing. In this configuration, 5.3.2.2 cannot be used
at least for presentation, and I am trying again to downgrade again to 5.3.1.
At the moment this is impossible, the 5.3.1. link on the webpage is dead, and
all mirrors do not contain 5.3.1 anymore. HELP!!!
- on windows 10 hp notebook, rendering with the two version is exactly the same
for menus and writer text, but full screen presentations are again quite bad,
not quite as horrible as on win7, but still certainly not ready for prime
time...
On the whole, the changes introduced seem to me decidedly negative. And at the
moment the unavailability of 5.3.1 is highly problematic.
