Plenty of options, although the Caldea, Carlito, DejaVu, Gentium, Liberation
Sans, Linux Libertine (Graphite), OpenSans, PT Serif, Source Code Pro, and
Source Sans fonts bundled and installed with LibreOffice each provides an
Italic style font for use.

Check that they are installed to your system with a LibreOffice install, then
just select the font for direct formatting or in modifying a style.
