Bug ID: 107531
Summary: Former existed option rerequest
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: wb at wolfgangbiebel.at
Description:
In former times LO has an additional second feature in the options where now
ist just one of them:
In [options]-[LibreOffice]-[View] you can now (and have been alog for a longer
tim/versions) click an option "Activate font preview". This is useful to see
what will happen if a font has been selected.
In former times ther were a second option to de-/activate, that the current
font automatically moves to the top of the font list. This option has been
removed, too bad!
I ( and perhaps others also) need it, because it is good behaviour, to use just
one font within one document. But you can use this one font in various
writings, eg Regular, Italic, Condensed, Medium, Light, etc. All of them are
listed together in the normal list.
But if one of them ist already selected, the curser in the list ist positioned
at the very beginning of the list. To find their "siblings" I have to search
again in my long list to find the others. If there are many of them, the same
procedure has to be repeated many times, until finally, all of them are on the
top of the list.
And the next time again.
Please reinstall ths 2nd choice (which name I do not remember), so I could
choose "font preview" with [yes] and the other one with [no] (which is not the
default now.
Thank you
