            Bug ID: 111362
Summary: [Feature request] Possibility to exclude data point
                    from trend line
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 5.2.6.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: krzmbrzl at gmail.com

Description:
When having a data series it can be visualized using a chart and in that chart
one has the possibility to display a trend line (equation) that fits the data
points the best. However there is (as far as I know) no possibility to exclude
one or more of the data points from that trend line.

An example of when this would be useful would be the following: One has done an
experiment and is now visualizing the results as a chart. However there is this
one data point that you know can't be correct so you don't want to include it
in your analysis (but you still want to have the point itself being displayed
in the chart in order to provide a complete overview of your results).
As of now you have to create a new data series in Calc, remove that one data
point from it and put that one in the same chart as the one before and
calculate the trend line from that.

It would be really handy if you were able to graph all data points in the chart
and then select one (or more) in order to exclude it/them from the tren line
calculation. That would provide a much quicker and more user-firendly approach
to the scenario.

NOTE: If someone can give me some hints on where this has to be done (in the
code) I might be able to implement it by myself... So if you don't have time to
implement it but you have a rough idea on how it has to be done: Please share
your knowledge ;)
