well, the previous report was very long and probably hard to understand or
follow and that could have led to misunderstanding about the nature of the bug.

the devs closed it but asked you to start a new report from scratch with a
simplified version and "idiot-proof" instructions to reproduce it.

so they are trying to understand what you reported, not to ignore it, otherwise
they wouldn't have asked you to open a new one.
