Memory usage is increasing on Windows too while browsing through the template
manager. It only drops after closing the template manager. So I tend to
confirm.

Not sure if it's related, but there is probably also leaking when switching
templates in Impress. Steps to reproduce
1. Open Impress Document -> Choose a template
2. Add slides (around 25)
3. Select all slides. Apply different templates from Master slides panel
4. Memory usage will increase (after each template)

I tested it on Windows with Undo count set to zero (Tools - > Options - LibO -
Advanced - Expert config: org.openoffice.Office.Common/Undo).
