Aargh, changed status too soon as this was revealed:
in the same process you basically would not be allowed to call anything that
requires the SolarMutex; might be easier to write a new office suite than to
get rid of the SolarMutex in our code

So in essence the status should be:
RESOLVED COULDFIXBUTWONT
