Bug ID: 111926
Summary: Navigating within Calc document through spreadsheets
using shortcut keys is slow
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.4.0.3 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: librofdev at beowulf.neomailbox.ch
Description:
Navigating within a Calc document consisting of multiple spreadsheets using
[Control + Page Up] and [Control + Page Down]is very slow. Holding down
[Control + Page Up/Down] would run the focus from page 1 to say 30 in tenths of
a second, with this LO version it takes maybe 8 seconds. Also step by step
navigation is slowed, so holding down Control and quickly pressing Page Up or
Page Down say 6 times will transfer the focus for instance 3 or 4 spreadsheets
instead of the 6 you wanted.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create Calc document with say 20-30 spreadsheets. No need to insert any data
in the cells.
2.Navigate through them using [Control + Page up] and [Control + Page down]
3.Try both quick step by step navigation and "fast" navigation by holding down
[Control + Page up/down].
Actual Results:
Navigating through spreadsheets is slow.
Expected Results:
Navigating throug spreadsheets should be fast.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: I tried LibreOffice 4.4.2.2 and it worked fantastic. I
tried Libreoffice 5.4.0 on a fresh install, also on a separate machine, to no
avail.
Additional Info:
Fresh windows install; i7 processor, 16GB machine.
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/36.0
