Optional workarounds:
- Create a macro to do the operation, probably best option
- Alt+key combinations, assign "Edit/Paste Unformatted Text" to Alt+V
- Use ctrl-alt-shift-v
- Double click the cell instead of single clicking, then ctrl-v paste

Each has limitations, which are, respectively:
- Have to manually create macro, per user
- Have to manually create, per user
- Have to have very dexterous hands, or use both hands
- Pastes untrimmed leading whitespace
