I thinke here are a mistake, using Menu/Data/Sort option, or the Icons on a
Pivot table sorts data as any other cells.

Pivot table sorts are done editing layout and then editing fields options.

To edit by a data field, edit a row or column field and in their options select
Sort by Ascending or Descending, now you can select the field for sort.

Resolved as not a bug, please if you are not agree, reopen it.
