            Bug ID: 114369
           Summary: Label workflow requires simplification
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 5.4.3.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: mike.sapsard at gmail.com

Description:
1) To create labels from a spreadsheet, the spreadsheet must first be exported
to csv or dbf. 2) After selecting the (say) dbf file the fields from another
database are presented and the required fields must be swapped with them. 3) To
suppress blank fields the menu item Insert|Section must be used for reach one.

Why is there not dedicated labels workflow window that allows any source,
selects all fields, has a simple checkbox for suppress empty fields? This is
the most complicated thing many users ever want to do. I have introduced many
people to LibreOffice, but many have gone back to MS Office at Christmas, when
they are doing their Christmas cards.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a spreadsheet with titled label columns
2.Follow instructions to create a label - export to csv or dbf file
3.Create labels and insert sections to suppress blank fields

Actual Results:
Usually failure when entering sections to suppress blanks.
Reversion to manual editing or using gLabel.

Expected Results:
Much easier process without jumping around the menu.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
See MS Office or gLabel for better workflow.
