Sudarshan: Can you copy all the build details from the about dialog, similar to
the below.

Guess that its built into the default installation and for some strange reason
isnt running in kde mode when being launched on your system. Try this from the
terminal and see if it makes a difference.

export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde && soffice
