It is a good start, but think winlayout could use more love still as we move
away from Windows GDI rendering at 6.0. 

XP (and Vista) are done, so an opportunity now to fully implement DirectWrite
based CPU and GPU Hardware rendering. And likewise provide more reliable
support for OpenGL rendering?
