            Bug ID: 110741
Summary: Calc and BASIC edit sluggish.
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 5.3.4.1 rc
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: john.trigger at iee.org

Description:
In Calc, each refresh is very slow.
In Calc, copy and pasting often leaves the pasted contents invisible until
manually refreshed with REDRAW.
In BASIC edit mode, any highlight change causes all visible test to refresh and
this is also very sluggish.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Calc sluggish: Any edit. e.g. a range of cells pasted requiring scrolling.
2. Calc paste invisible: Copy a range. Paste into destination (occurs most
times).
3. BASIC. Highlight code text. Scroll, expand or contract highlighted area.

Actual Results:
1. Display update is very slow.
2. Pasted cells appear empty.
3. Whole text window refreshes, very slowly.

Expected Results:
1. Should be quicker, liker previous versions.
2. Should refresh display of the pasted cells without need for REDRAW command.
3. Only edited text or changed highlighted text should be redrawn, not whole
text window. Redraw should be quicker like previous versions.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
The above bugs are the same on two machines 32 & 64, also with version 5.4.0.3
