Do what you like, but

Which are the cases, that you want introduce a valid formula as not a formula?,
are you sure it's the usual?

I don't think it is the main purpose of a spreadsheet, and how it's used
usually, I'm a spreadsheets user since thirty five years on daily basis, so I
can have a more than relevant opinion.

Truly click an icon, every time you enter data in a cell.
