Bug ID: 107673
Summary: UX: Workflow of changing border color using the table
toolbar
Product: LibreOffice
Version: Inherited From OOo
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: telesto at surfxs.nl
Description:
Changing the color (or border style) of a table row with the toolbar is quite a
hassle and a bit counter intuitive (in my opinion)
After selecting the table row I must first apply the color (and border style).
Only 3 out of 4 borders change. (Note that the borders which have to change
can't be preset and the made choice isn't permanent.) To change 3 to 4 I have
to click toolbar borders button and select then "set all Borders and inner
lines"
If I want to do the same again for a different row, I have to start all over
again.
The Word workflow has more logic in it (in my opinion). I can reapply the same
border settings, by simply clicking to borders button again.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice
2. Insert a table (4 rows)
3. Click the second row
4. Change the inner and outer border color for all borders to - for example -
red
5. Now select row 4 repeat step 4
Actual Results:
The process of making border changes is quite cumbersome.
Expected Results:
Less steps to reach the same goal
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
