--- Comment #16 from EricP <livingfield at gmail.com> ---
I'm seeing this in LO 5.3.2.2 and 5.3.3.2 on Windows 7-32 bit with Intel GMA
"Mobile Intel 4 Series" graphics. Unchecking boxes for "hardware acceleration",
"anti-aliasing", or "OpenGL" has no affect.

I first suspected this was a problem with the Windows 7 Khmer language pack or
with using the Khmer UI font from Windows 8 in Windows 7, but LO behaves the
same with a user's whose UI is set to English, and changing system fonts to
Calibri makes no difference either.

LO 5.2.7 works fine.

Setting the display adapter to "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" works 99%
better. (Strangely the "User Data" page was missing the text "Company, Name,
Street", etc, but every other page looks OK). Of course, this isn't an
acceptable fix for most since the Standard VGA driver only supports a few
screen resolutions.

bug 107114, comment 9 offers a possible workaround for LO 5.3:
Open Expert Configuration (Tools -> Options -> Advanced) and search for--then
edit--the "TextLayoutEngine" stanza from "new" -> "old".

When TextLayoutEngine is set to "new" (the default), then I see no text.
Changing the setting to "old", allows text to display when the UI language is
set to English. When the Windows UI is set to Khmer, however, no text is
displayed in LO. Not even English text.

Further information about the new text layout engine in LO 5.3 is here:
