(Sorry, due to being handicapped by illness, I lost track of this bug for too
long.)

I can confirm, that this bug is still hitting me, now with version LO v5.4.1.2

  Test file already submitted with original bug report (see first attachment).

  Screenshot already with original bug report (resulting PDF still looks the
  same latest version of LO, see second attachment).

Re. e):
  I read all comments again and re-tested all suggested fixes and workarounds.
  Still no dice...
