            Bug ID: 113409
Summary: Charts are not correctly updated when chart data
                    changes
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Chart
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: registrar at know.ch

Description:
Symptom 1: When chart data in Calc is copied over with new data, the chart only
updates its display if the chart is moved.

Symptom 2: When a chart is copied with its sheet/data from another Calc file
into a new Calc file and the data range is then linked to new data, the chart
displays the new assigned data while in edit mode, but when you leave the
chart, the former data is displayed again. If the chart is then moved, the new
data is correctly displayed.

Symptom 3: Even worse: When the chart is not moved as described above but the
file is saved and reopened (hoping it would update the chart, to avoid moving
multiple dozens of charts), the chart correctly shows the new data. But when
the chart is copied e.g. to Impress, it there displays the former data.

Version: 5.0.6.3
Build ID: 00m0(Build:3)

Reproduce:
No way to reproduce in a simple way: I have several files with about 20 sheets
containing 50-100 horizontal bar charts, stacked and unstacked. I copy into
those files data from other Calc files. I observe the problem for a couple of
years now.

As my files contain real world data I cannot publish them here, but I could
send it privately if a developer is interested to have a look at this.

This behaviour is severely bad, since it includes the possibility to show wrong
data in customer projects.
