            Bug ID: 112271
Summary: Configurable default values for 'Other Settings' in
                    Find&Replace
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 5.4.1.2 release
          Hardware: x86 (IA32)
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: lvm at royal.net

Description:
Settings available in the Find&Replace dialogue under 'Other options' are reset
to default values every time Calc is restarted. Selection of default values is
questionable e.g. searching in formulae (default) is more useful to a
developer, ordinary user would almost always prefer to search in values and
might be (and frequently is) confused by Calc not finding something he can
plainly see, also spreadsheet data is usually organized in a tabular form with
similar items grouped in columns and so should be searched by columns, not by
rows (default). Different default settings for 'Other options' are indicated,
and yet many people are used to the current behaviour so changing the default
settings won't be a good idea. I suggest adding configurable options for
default values in 'Other options' in Find&Replace.
