On Linux with GTK2, in LO 5.4.1.2 the bug is still there.

It can be quickly reproduced by entering the following text in an empty
document:

- example

then pressing the Enter key makes the text boundaries completely disappear. 

The bug does not appear with GTK3, but there are other issues that makes me
prefer GTK2.
