Patch that demonstrates a workaround

I have analysed the problem a bit and found a workaround that works for me (s.
attached patch).

The slide content is held in a Bitmap that is set for an ImageView. For some
reason, that Bitmap is always drawn in white instead of the actual content.
Setting the Bitmap as background image and setting a transparent image in front
of it makes the slide content being shown as expected on my devices.

Of course, it would be great if somebody could fix the underlying problem
instead...
