I didn't try all of the extensions out there because that wasn't the issue
here.

Some of the extensions that I did try and which rely on any of Python or Java
for their implementation caused an immediate crash of the whole LibreOfffice
process (and subsequent recovery), but they would need to filed as separate bug
reports.

For example, the python-based UNO inspector MRI refused to install and caused a
crash.

The same experience with APSO (another python-based tool) - crash, recovery, no
extension installation.

As for Java based extensions, I have had issues with installing some of them on
LO for Mac long before the current issue was raised (see for example bug
44497).
