Thanks, I did git apply and built.
Yes, actually the overwriting effect is seen in a sort of "foreshadowing" style
even when typing to an empty cell. The red background appears after the ninth
typed character.
With SC_NOINLINETEXT=1, the text is not seen when typed in an empty cell. It
appears after focusing out of the cell.
When typing over old text, the old text is visible until I have typed the ninth
character. Then there is only redness.
