The "Slide XX of YY" string at the left of the bottom status bar does not have
enough space to display correctly. E.g., on my system I see "Slide 10 of 6" in
place of "Slide 10 of 65".

This is likely related to VCL/OS/DPI setup. On my system I am on the venerable
96X96 dpi.
