I would keep it there "only" for consistency in addition it's alway nice to see
in the UI that you can add text to whatever shape use draw.

I will investigate to reduce the different .xml popupmenu files for different
shapes cause it's way easier in writer and I also think (like you) this
complexity (maintanance work) can be reduced.
