I tested in the browser, in a notepad like text editor: pluma, vim , vi, nano.
Only in LibreOffice Writer i can reproduce this behaviour.

The keyboard it's selected in Ubuntu and after that selection i use it in
Writer. It's selected as Romanian standard and the keyboard type as generic or
Dell Latitude keyboard with same results. The platform it's a Dell D620 ( 32
bit ) without discrete graphics and Ubuntu Mate 18.04 with all updates done.

I admit it could be something particular to my system. I will try to test this
behaviour on a Cent-OS with GUI installed, the following days, and come with
the results.

As a side note the ^ sign it's rendered, but somehow remains behind the letter,
it stays at the margin of the sheet and only the end of the legs get carried
together with the letter and therefore they appear as two dots above the
letter. Very strange :)
