please have a look a tools => options => LibreOffice Writer => View
Have you disabled or enabled "Display field codes"?

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' once the question is answered or change it to RESOLVED NOTABUG,
if this solves your problem.
