I am experiencing the same issue here with a freshly installed LibreOffice 6.
The only thing I changed was to use OpenGL as I was hoping this would speed up
the rendering of some large documents. It seems, at least for me, that this
problem is related to OpenGL rendering. If I turn it off, the problem stops.
