Bug ID: 115354
Summary: I cannot install LanguageTool-4.0.oxt on macOS 10.13.3
with LibreOffice Vanilla 5.4.4, Extension Manager
hangs...
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.4.4.1 rc
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Extensions
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: michelxl at gmx.com
Description:
After downloading the anguageTool-4.0.oxt on macOS 10.13.3 with LibreOffice
Vanilla 5.4.4, Extension Manager hangs when I try to install it. CPU
utilization goes up but nothing else happens and LibreOffice Vanilla hangs. I
had to ForceQuit LibreOffice after several hours. I tried downloading a second
time, to eliminate possible download error but to no avail, trying to
installing causes a hang. Extension Manager now shows a lot of languages but a
check for updates on e.g. Dutch causes a simular hang.
Steps to Reproduce:
Download the LanguageTool-4.o.oxt extension and save it anywhere on your
computer.
In LibreOffice, select Tools --> Extension Manager from the menu bar.
In the Extension Manager dialog click Add.
A file browser window opens. Navigate to the folder where you saved the
LibreOffice extension file(s) on your system. The extension's files have the
file extension 'OXT'.
Find and select the extension you want to install and click Open.
Actual Results:
Nothing seems to happen except that teh CPU utilization goes up to-around 13 %
from an idle load of around 3% and LibreOffice hangs until ForceQuit.
Expected Results:
Installation of LanguageTools-4.0
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Fresh installation of maxOS High Sierra on a mac Pro (late 2013, with only a
few apps besides the standard Apple office suite.
