With gen & gtk2 backends on Linux, the difference is like 2 pixels: the down
button does not registers clicks to its lower bevel shadow while the up button
registers even 1 px above the actual button. However, I don't think we can call
this a multi-platform issue.
The blue overlay thing is nowhere to be found on Linux.
