            Bug ID: 118173
Summary: Text document contains invalid sections, cannot be
                    saved.
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 5.4.3.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: mikafar at gmx.de

After having compiled a document from a selection of parts from different files
(sxw, odt, doc), partly from 2005, tryin gto save the file leads to an error
like: XML part invalid, cannot write file.

If autosave is enabled, this even leads to an infinite loop, so your work is
lost.

As I could not save the file as odt, I tried an export to word doc, but again,
I got an error message, and the document is not accessible any more, all work
lost once again.

I might have succeeded if I had printed the file to PDF, as it had looked fine,
anyway.

I can understand that compositing a file from parts from within 16 years or so,
can cause problems. But these should never set LibreOffice into an unstable
state where you lose controle over your work.

Thanks.
