Hmm, possible. Is this how it is supposed to be used?

I.e. is the way I write it an invalid syntax?
Because it usually works in all other cases. And when you select the "absolute
mode" from the menu it also shows you this syntax: abs{<?>} (i.e. not this {abs
<?>}.)
