[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121257] When moving cursor over document, symbols appear and remain as a tail behind the cursor. Sometimes, parts of background appear black.

@Robert : that symbol in your screenshot looks like the active/direct cursor
option is enabled under

Preferences > Writer > Formatting Aids > Direct Cursor

Is this option activated on your system ?
If it is, what happens when you turn off that option ?
