Bug ID: 121521
Summary: UI - Formatting - Ergonomic problem when making a
copy/paste of a picture in Impress
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.0.6.1 rc
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: Impress
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: bannier.dorian at gmail.com
Description:
Hello,
By testing Impress for making a course, I realized a potential improvement to
bring at Impress.
Let's consider the situation where we created a slide with a "Title/Two
content" disposition. In one content, we insert text and in the other content,
we want to insert a picture. To do that, I usually use a copy/paste (often from
the pdf of a scientific article) instead of using a picture previously recorded
on my disk (in order to gain time). But in this situation, if we click on the
content where we want the picture and paste it, the picture appears centered
and in great size on the slide, instead of being automatically positionned and
reformated to be in the content we want.
There is a way to do it. We can reduce the size of the picture and positioning
it where we want it. Then, we click on the Title/Two content slide disposition
button in the Property panel. Automatically, the image is well positioned and
with the good size.
Is it possible to implement a solution making possible to directly paste a
picture in a content panel in a slide?
Forgive me for the approximative english. I hope my post is clear.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a slide, preferably with two contents to better visualize
2. Pasting a picture in one content
Actual Results:
The picture is not included in the content
Expected Results:
The picture should be included in the content, well positioned and resized.
Reproducible: Always
