Bug ID: 124520
Summary: FORMATTING (suggested feature): Find/Replace could
search for a string and replace only formatting in
target cells (e.g. bacground color) - useful for
searching large tables
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.2.2.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: 4daren at gmail.com
Description:
when using find/replace it could find targeted strings in cells and e.g. change
background of those cells so they are easily identifiable.
Currently "replace" allows string-for-string replacement, general format
change, no format change in "string-targeted" cells only, though.
(for review: such a feature is present in MS Excel)
Steps to Reproduce:
1. use Find/Replace and type in a string to search for in 'find' box
2. replace box should be left emtpty, but 'cell styles' should be chosen
3. both find and replace boxes are affected, instead of 'replace' only, which
renders the change impossible
Actual Results:
no such feature
Expected Results:
ability to change format in cells with a given string
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
OpenGL enabled: Yes
Additional Info:
