screenshot of borked normal page view

Last week, Normal page view started pushing the page off to the right side (see
attached screenshot from this morning). I have been having to view all Writer
documents in Web view in order to see all of the text at one time.

On Friday (8/9/2019), I worked my way through all the "restart in safe mode"
options. When that did not work, I uninstalled and reinstalled the LibreOffice
suite. That seemed to resolve the problem, so I re-established my custom
settings, as follows:

1. set default font for all levels as LibreOffice Sans 12 pt
2. specified large menu icons (Tools/Options/LibreOffice View/Toolbar icon
size: Large)
3. installed libreoffice-gtk3 package through the Synaptic Package Manager in
order to be able to control menu font size, and adjusted size to 12 pt
3. unchecked AutoCorrect while typing (Tools/Autocorrect Options)

Re-establishing these custom settings didn't seem to mess anything up, and I
used Writer for the rest of the day without any issues.

However, this morning when I opened a Writer document, Normal page view was
borked as before. Once again, resetting it to factory settings (with both of
the options checked), didn't resolve the problem, but this time neither did
uninstalling and reinstalling the LibreOffice suite. Weirdly, though, once it
was reinstalled, specifying large icons again DID restore the Normal page view
to its usual appearance.

If I missed any useful checks, please let me know, and I will be happy to run
them for you. Otherwise this seems like a bug. In case it might be useful to
know which specific version of Linux I am running, it is Linux Mint 19.1.
