            Bug ID: 127133
Summary: Font in the formula bar in Calc is ugly and way too
                    big....
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: Marceaux at zonnet.nl

Description:
Since LibreOffice 6.3. the formula bar in LibreOffice Calc has a much bigger
font (16px!). I understand this is a feature, but it looks ugly. Not only the
font size, but also the formula bar itself, which has been increased in height
also. It takes up more space on smaller screens and it gives the impression of
being a faulty implementation in the GUI.

Via the "expert configuration" option in "Extra" > "Options" > "Advanced" I
tried to change the font size of the formula bar, but it seems like this
feature is hard coded and not to be changed by the user. I couldn't find
anything in the expert configuration to change the font size (unfortunately).

Is there a way to revert this feature? Like it was in LibreOffice 6.2 and
before, and that - instead of a hard coded feature - the font size of the
formula bar is being altered by the user, if desired? This option could be
build in into the expert configuration, or maybe by right clicking on the mouse
button when the pointer is inside the formula bar, which gives the possibility
to change the font size (if this is desired by the user).

Is that a good idea (and possible)?

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start up LibreOffice 6.3
2. Open LibreOffice Calc
3. See the formula bar when you type something in a cell: the font size is much
bigger than the rest of the GUI...

Actual Results:
Font size too big and the formula bar is increased in height (and therefore
looks like it's not intended in the GUI and takes up more space on smaller
screens)...

Expected Results:
Give an option to increase or decrease the font size by the user him/herself,
instead of an hard coded feature. This could (hopefully) be done in the expert
configuration or (maybe even better) as a right click with the mouse when the
pointer is in the formula bar.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
This feature is present since LibreOffice 6.3.
