Could not reproduce with Version: 6.3.1.1 (x64)
Build ID: e979878b49a48dab15ebe528f238b88125e32c65
CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL; VCL: win; 
Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

using this setup:

1. in a new spreadsheet, put these single chars into A1:A12:
> q
> w
> e
> r
> t
> y
> q
> w
> e
> r
> t
> y
2. Ctrl+H
3. Nothing is checked right below the "Find" box; in the "Other options", only
have "[x] Diacritic-sensitive" checked; Direction: Rows; Search in: Formulas
4. Put "q" into "Find:" box; put "-" into "Replace:" box; clicked "Replace
All"; clicked "Close" in the popup showing the two replaced places
5. Put "w" into "Find:" box; clicked "Replace All"
