Thanks for that.  I expected there was a difference, but could not find a way
to produce it.

Ok.  Then I would suggest reclassifying this a request for documentation
improvement.   Maybe it is correct, but I read it several times before trying
my tests (without being able to succeed), and even now, when I read the help
page, I still can not get it to make sense.

I think I understand now that:  Chapter + number = number(full context)

But Chapter is (in effect) simply the top level of the heading. (This seems to
confuse one functional use (i.e., Chapter).   I could, for example, change the
top level Style to Title (which does not change the value for "number", which
is good).  

I think there is an interaction with Tools > Chapter numbering that might also
be relevant to mention.  And maybe also whether Numbering is applied to the
Headings or not.  (I tried more experiments, without being figure out the
interactions or how to control the effects -- so I will stop here.)
