OLE Embed Issues with Excel Workbooks

ISSUES EXPERIENCED

There are issues when embedding an Excel Workbook via OLE into Writer.

If I just bed an object (not Create from File), the Workbook behaviours like a
picture that has been inserted. 

There no scrollbars and other interface controls to manipulate the Workbook.

Dragging Workbook bigger resizes it like an image.

The work book table is distorted.

Creating from File only displays plain text and not the rest of the formatting.

I tried link the create from option using a URL from the right click popup menu
but this appeared to make no difference.
